Refund Policy
Urban Foodies – Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand plans can change, and we’ll always do our best to be flexible. To ensure clarity and fairness, the following
policies apply across our catering services.
Office Catering
- Orders must be placed by 2pm the business day prior (12pm for breakfast and hot individual items).
- Cancellations under 20 guests: require 24 hours’ notice for a refund.
- Cancellations over 20 guests: require 48 hours’ notice for a refund.
- Monday orders: must be cancelled by 12pm on the Friday prior.
- Cancellations outside these timeframes are non-refundable.
- If you reduce or cancel booked staff within 1 business day of your event or delivery, the full staff charges will still apply.
Event Catering
- Final guest numbers must be confirmed 7 business days prior to your event.
- Cancellations or reductions within 5 business days of the event will be charged at 100% of the total cost.
- For events with 50 guests or more, a minimum of 5 business days’ notice is required for cancellations.
- Changes to staffing: If you reduce or cancel booked staff within 1 business day of the event, full staff charges will apply
in addition to any other cancellation fees. - Cancellations due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control (force majeure) remain subject to the above
charges.
Team Cooking
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is due 7 days prior to your event.
- Cancellations:
- More than 14 days’ notice: deposit is non-refundable; any balance already paid will be refunded.
- Between 14–7 days: 50% of the total fee is payable.
- Within 7 days: 100% of the total fee is payable.
- Rescheduling: Possible with more than 10 business days’ notice (subject to availability). A $500 reschedule fee applies
if less notice is given. - Guest numbers: Final numbers are due 14 days prior. Reductions within 48 hours are non-refundable.
Refunds & Credits
- Refunds or credits are only available if your catering is defective, missing items, or not delivered as confirmed. They do
not apply to cancellations, which are covered under the service-specific policies above. - Please notify us within 24 hours of your delivery or event if there is an issue,and provide your booking details along with
any supporting information (such as photos). - We will work with you to resolve the matter, which may include a replacement, credit towards your next order, or
refund. - Change-of-mind cancellations are not eligible for a refund.
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. A 2% administration
fee may be deducted to cover processing costs. - Credits (where offered) are valid for 12 months, must be used in a single transaction, and are not redeemable for cash.
